Frequently asked questions
Is it free?
Yes, the test is completely free. Email and installing the app are optional.
Do I have to do the speaking part?
No — the speaking part is optional. You get a full CEFR level from the written test alone; the 2-minute live conversation just adds a spoken-fluency dimension (fluency, vocabulary range, grammar in speech).
Is my data stored?
The test is anonymous — we ask for no email and no sign-up. Answers are processed without identifying you, only to estimate your level.
Is this an official CEFR certificate?
Not an official one — for that you need IELTS, TOEFL or Cambridge. You do get a free downloadable certificate confirming your CEFR level, to keep or share.
What if I don't finish the test?
No emails and no reminders. You can come back and start over any time.
