What is CEFR?
CEFR is the common European scale of language proficiency, from A1 (beginner) to C2 (fluent native-level). Employers, universities and language schools around the world use it.

How is the level measured?
Your main level comes from 30 tasks on vocabulary, grammar and understanding context. The short English answer receives a separate preliminary writing estimate. The optional speaking part separately checks spoken English.
How is this different from IELTS and TOEFL?

Is it free?
Yes, the test is completely free. Email and installing the app are optional.
Do I have to do the speaking part?
No — the speaking part is optional. The 30 questions give your main CEFR result, the short written answer gets a separate estimate, and the live conversation adds spoken-language evidence.
Is my data stored?
The test is anonymous — we ask for no email and no sign-up. Your short written answer is processed to estimate your writing level and is deleted after 90 days.
Is this an official CEFR certificate?
Not an official one — for that you need IELTS, TOEFL or Cambridge. You do get a free downloadable certificate confirming your CEFR level, to keep or share.
What if I don't finish the test?
No emails and no reminders. You can come back and start over any time.
